Butter/oil to fry
4 slices paneer
For the marinade:
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp chilli sauce
2 tbs soya sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp coarsely ground ginger
1 tbsp coarsely ground garlic
salt to taste
For the covering:
3 tbsp cornflour
2 eggs, beaten (optional)
1 tbsp milk
salt to taste
Mix the marinade ingredients together and aside.
Mix together all the covering ingredients in another bowl and set aside.
In shallow flat dish, arrange the paneer slices in a single layer.
Marinate in the marinade for at least 2-4 hours in the refrigerator, turning occasionally.
Remove from refrigerator and set aside till the paneer returns to room temperature.
Coat the marinated slices with the covering ingredients.
Heat the butter/oil in a pan and fry the coated paneer till golden brown.
serve hot.........
